Mentors Country Estate has 4 wedding venues which can accommodate between 80 & 1000 guests.
The wedding party can use the chapel and beautiful tranquil gardens.
We offer catering options and 3-star accommodation that can accommodate up to 116 guests and additional
accommodation can be offered in the heart of Jeffreys Bay, the Main Beach.

Damaskwa Venue hall includes a lapa and bar area overlooking the country setting. Perfect venue space for weddings and functions and can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Gonakwa

Gonakwa Venue can accommodate up to 250 guests in Banquet Style. Undercover deck area with own bar and firepit(braai), ideal for hosting your canapes & pre-drinks for your special day. Total area of hall: 385.1m² Included in venue facility fee

Gamtkwa

Gamtkwa Venue hall is the perfect venue space for weddings, functions & conferences. This Venue can accommodate up to 1000 guests. It is mainly used for bigger functions and conferences.

Terms & Conditions

The tariff for weddings on days other than Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be negotiable.
The choice of your facility & menu will determine the cost.
A minimum number of 50 guests are required for a function that is not within office hours (Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm)
Please note that your function has exclusive rights up until 24h00 or 15h00 in case of a brunch function. For take down of decor after function hours, an additional fee will be charged. Should you wish to extend the duration of the function, an additional fee of R2,000.00 per hour or part thereof for the use of the facility until latest 02h00, will be payable. An additional fee will be charged for after hour’s church rehearsals and décor setup. An arrangement one week prior to the wedding has to be made.
This charge will also apply for late arrival and delay in times pre–arranged with our wedding coordinator (example, if the bride was supposed to arrive at 10:00 and she only arrives at 11:00 there will be a charge of an additional R1000. It is very important that we keep to times arranged because it affects the quality of our service and food.
Please note that more than one function on a specific date can be accommodated at our venue and that the bar facilities could then be shared
A Non Refundable Booking Fee of R10 000 (which will be deducted from your final payment) is required in order to confirm and guarantee your wedding date at Mentors Country Estate. R5 000 on date of confirmation and the additional R5 000 within 60 days or 7 days before the wedding, which ever date is first.
The balance, which includes food and beverages and all additional expenses must be settled 7 days prior to your wedding date.
Dietary requirements such as Vegetarian, Halaal and Kosher can be arranged with 7 days prior notice.
Quoted price on catering is applicable to the number of guests confirmed upon enquiry. Please note the number may not vary with more than 5% upon confirmation of final number of guests. This will affect the price quoted.
To enable us to make your wedding/function private and secure, we kindly request a list of names of your guests, 24 hours prior to the wedding/ function.
Reservation of venue does not include accommodation at Mentors Country Estate. Separate arrangements must be made for accommodation. Please contact Lizel Bezuidenhout to avoid disappointment.
Credit card facilities are only available for purchases at the bar.
Kindly note that breakage deposits will be refunded by the first week of the following month of your wedding.
All prices quoted excludes VAT. Please note 15% VAT will be added to your final Invoice.
R1, 000.00 breakage deposit is required for possible damages.
R50.00 Corkage fee per bottle (Champagne and wine only)

Cheque or cash payments are not acceptable.
Cash will be accepted, but the normal bank charges will apply
Credit card facilities are only available for purchases from the bar.
